Here’s Hawaiian Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s rather unique rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow/It’s a Wonderful World. Over the Rainbow by itself has been covered by lots of other people, but this isn’t quite the McPhee edition.
But why mention this now? There was another cover playing at That CD Shop while I was passing through Tanglin Mall yesterday. Which reminded me of something and really made my evening.
It would be terribly wrong (+ too suggestive and a huge lift from context) to say that someone once sang this to me. Hahaha.
Now, to do this in pseudo bossa nova..
