The centerpiece of this exhibition is a wall of yellow-and-black dartboards, which viewers are encouraged to use. at a distance, the wall of dartboards dissolves into a surface that resembles a giant rotational field. “The idea was to make it as a big abstract painting that was moving all the time,” Dahlgren said. “All the people get to throw the darts. They become the artists.”
Several hundred yellow-and-black concentric circles accumulate to form a visually intense work, which makes reference to op art as well as the minimal, colorful aesthetics of pop art. (via)
