Switching back to 15” was a tough decision because the 13” and Air really are significantly smaller and lighter, with the Air especially being a pleasure to carry and handle. It’s a great computer to carry with you in a bag everywhere, but I don’t carry a bag every day anymore, and when I do, it’s usually just for camera stuff.
The size difference is really pretty large - I find it makes a bigger difference (psychologically) than the weight. Well, that and I compared cheap 15” and 15.4” sleeves at Popular the other day.. it’s really that much wider/longer, for more pixel goodness. Not an entirely bad thing.
That said, I don’t actually mind glossy LCD panel (seeing how I loved my Macbook), but that additional layer of glass on the unibody Macbook (Pro) riles me to no end at all the wrong times. Like watching myself in the mirror while waiting for Windows to boot. Please. I don’t need to be reminded of how agonising long the boot time is. The blackness succeeds in making the screen look bigger the reflections are mildly annoying.
Lovin’ the 4GB of ram, anyway.
